Roger Friend, Drums

Roger Friend plays Ola Brunkert.

Roger actually met Ola Brunkert in Stockholm in 1978, befriended  him, and worked as his drum tech, first in the studio and then on tours in the US tour and Japan.  After earning Abba’s trust, he filled in for Ola at some Abba concerts, most notably at the Nippon Budokan. 

Roger's other credits also include performing with Tom Jones, Bette Midler, The Rippingtons, BB King, Dweezil Zappa and many others, and he has been awarded 2 Grammys and 2 Emmys.
